What is CSC?

“CSC” stands for Card Security Code. It is used to enhance the security of credit card purchases.

For MasterCard, Visa, and Discover credit or debit cards, it is a 3-digit number printed on the back of your card. It appears after and to the right of your card number.

On American Express cards, the Card Security Code is a 4-digit number printed on the front of your card. It appears after and to the right of your card number.
