I love wathing TED meetings. It can tell us plenty of cutting-edge technology.
Probably they are watching measured EEG, instead of looking inside brains directly. We should not overestimate it. So I think there is a little exaggeration in this talk. But the research itself seems to be interesting and useful. With such a technology, we may be able to control something about our body which we could not control very well, even if we are not Yoga masters.
In spite of the fact that I got really tired during the time that i was repeating the sentences , i enjoied this video!
It is essentially the same sound (P and B) the only difference being that one is voiced and one is not voiced. I imagine something like this is much harder for the system to detect than say a missing syllable or a mispronounced vowel.
When I recorded pain instead of brain, it took it as correct. It could be that my p's sounds like b's...
