  Acadademic English is also every day English! The matter here is you don't like to speak formally maybe.

  The problem is--he speaks British English so this cannot be used to learn or teach American English pronunciation. Other than that, it is definitely academic English not everyday English.

  I disagree with Annie and ghefar! because the speaker is native and speaks English but he speaks educated English and not the English we used to hear in informal and careless speaking and films!
  in fact you'll hear this language in universities and lectures not in the pubs and restaurants! in which you are adressed with "love" and not sir
